For several years our department had been holding various fundraisers in order to save funds for us to one day be able to construct a new fire station. Our existing facility had been built in the 1940s and had held two pieces of fire apparatus. Over the years that had grown to four trucks and a fire rescue boat.

Severely undersized and no longer practical, in 2011, we began to search for a builder to construct a new, larger, facility on a tract of land we purchased years before.

I am extremely satisfied with my 2 bedroom house that was done by the Martell Building Company.  After deciding to sell and downsize, I searched the internet for 2 bedroom house plans. Chad was able to take the plans I found and have a modular built to those specs on the property I had previously purchased.  He was patient with some of the changes I made, and the finished product came out just beautifully!

Originally I thought a stick built house was what I wanted, but when he suggested going modular, and how much faster it could get done, I decided that was the best solution. This house has a big open floor plan and it’s perfect for a retired couple.  A big master bedroom with a walk in closet and master bath and a nice sized guest room.  Another bathroom, laundry room and plenty of closets complete this perfect picture. They set it on a full basement with plenty of storage and a 2 car garage.  Don’t be afraid to “go modular” – it is just like a stick built house and even better, I think!

Being a widow, it was comforting to know that Chad was handling everything, from property prep and permits, and dealing with the town building inspector, and even afterward, when doors needed adjusting and other minor things that occurred, he was quick in getting things corrected.  It was extremely hard tackling all this on my own but I am glad I hired Martell Builders to complete the task.
